MEM Services - Public Sector

Strategic Marine Energy Industrial Development

Since formation MEM has been working with key clients developing strategies to catalyse a new offshore renewable energy industry. Strategic development often includes examining the knowledge, infrastructure and supply chain needs.

Policy and Programme Development

Being a new energy technology, marine energy development requires a coordinated programme of activities for success. MEM assists in the development and execution of marine energy industry stimulus programmes for the public sector at national, regional and local levels.
Governments' policy objectives in developing marine energy are often diverse including the desire to generate low carbon energy, removal of a dependence on fossil fuels and/or economic development through the creation of a new industry. Development programmes can be national or location specific, reflecting government policy ambitions. MEM policy development activity also includes marine spatial planning, legislative requirements, industry support and market mechanisms.

Project Delivery & Management

The development and delivery of public sector marine energy policy inevitably leads specific delivery projects. MEM specialises in the delivery of smaller projects and management of larger multi-disciplined projects on behalf of public sector clients.
